Baltimore Orioles vs. Chicago White Sox

The two teams finished a game tonight that was suspended earlier in the year.  If you get a chance, watch Sportscenter and read about that application of stats from the game, as well as how they had to handle players that were ejected, pinch hit, now on DL, etc.  Here are some of my favorite parts regarding the game were:

1.  If Ken Griffey Jr. hit a homerun, it would have counted towards that day, meaning that every homerun hit since would have been one later.  Meaning the guy that thought he caught homerun 600, really caught 601.

2.  Lou Montanez now officially made his major league debut April 28, 2008 but didn’t actually play in the majors until August 2008 (because he was in the minors at the time of the game.

3.  Ken Griffey Jr. played for the Cincinnati Reds and Chicago White Sox on April 28, 2008

4.  The game was in Baltimore, but Chicago hit in the bottom of each inning because the game was originally played in Chicago.
