Osi

There are few guarantees in life, three are: death, taxes and a season ending injury to a Pro Bowl player during a preseason game.  Every year I pray it’s not someone on my team  Unfortunately it happened.  Osi Umenyiora tore his meniscus against the Jets (probably considered payback for the Chad Pennington injury 3 or 4 years ago) on Friday night.  The one luxury that we do have is that we have Michael Strahan waiting in the wings.  The thought didn’t even cross my mind at the time, but the thought now gives this dark cloud a silver lining.  The Giants are just going to have to be willing to pay.  Supposedly, it’s going to cost $8 million.  To me, it’s worth every penny.  If we don’t, that’s 22 sacks from a year ago that we have now lost.  I just have one question, if we have $8 million to spend within the salary cap, why did we plan on going into this season with this terrible linebacking corps? (core?)

Either way, Michael, please, PLEASE take the $8 million
