The Series that ended 2008….
I know I sound pessimistic (how can you blame me?) but this series against the Philadelphia Phillies could be the Mets season. First, they blow a 7-0 lead, and now they are losing with Johan Santana on the mound. What makes it so bad is that it’s the Philadelphia Phillies. Somehow, even the players are obtaining the qualities of the Philadelphians. Jimmy Rollins just can’t stop running his mouth about the Mets. He can’t stand our ‘showboating’, he always ‘comes to play when the Mets are in town’. I have to give him credit, he KEEPS backing it up. How irritating. 8 for 8, from their last game before the Mets into last nite’s game.
ps.-phillies fans. how come every pitch that doesnt hit the ground and is called a ball draws boos louder than an airraid siren?
